Design Classic – The Klismos Chair
With origins in Ancient Greece, the Klismos chair has been a design classic for many furniture houses but has had a resurgence in the past few years.
The Klismos shape can be identified by the strong curve in the back panel, which should cradle your mid back for long enduring dinner parties and curved tapering legs, traditionally carved. The contemporary Klismos may be paired back somewhat from the gold gilt detailing in ancient Greece but is an enduring style due to its classic proportions and comfort.
