Oustanding Stand Styling at Maison et Objet 2012

Stand styling at Maison Objet was pretty varied in scale and style, perhaps one common denominator was a natural element running through most stands.

Flamant

Flamant used lots of timber panelling, hides, leathers, stones and canvas. They had some great styling detail and precious antiquities.

Loro Piana

Loro Piano was typically restrained and elegant with cashmere throws and herringbone wools piled high, long linen curtains with generous headings warm timbers and leather trims and details. The scented candles made it feel really intimate and cosy.

Society Linens

Society linens was colour popping in turquoise and vermillion with roomsets of oranges and brights with faded pastel linens that we viewed through large cut out portholes. There was quite a bit of this vermillion red colour which is lighter and less saturated than pure reds and sits so well with blues and greens.

Gervasoni

Gervasoni was a paired back stand of muted and washed out blues, lavenders, greys browns and soft blacks with simple styling and earthy product it was quite back to basics with a handmade touch. I loved this stand, it was elegant yet really humble.

Missoni

Missoni used their trademark bold floral prints, flamestitches and polished cottons and moquettes to show off their bedlinen and furnishing fabric range. The string curtain created a screen through which fabric covered lanterns, which were throughout the fair were visible.
