Karen McCartney has over fifteen years experience working across some of Australia's most prestigious interiors' magazines, including the enviable position of being founding Editor of Inside Out Magazine. French-born, Sydney-based photographer Felix Forest is making a name for himself as one of the most exciting interiors photographers working in Sydney. With a background in black and white film photography, fashion and still life, Forest has turned to interior design photography, and has had his work appear in Vogue Living Australia, Inside Out, Belle Real Living and more. Felix’s work captures the way his subjects relate to their spaces and their lifestyle. Magnus Omme is a photographer with a passion for design and architecture. Native to Sweden, he began his photography career in Sydney where he resided from 2006 - 2011. Magnus is now based in Copenhagen, accessible to the European design landscape. He strives to capture a unique sense of presence and reality in his images. Magnus' specialty is portrait, landscape and fashion photography, but his range includes travel, environment and food.

Natasha Levak is a very talented Sydney based Interior Designer specializing in high-end residential projects and hospitality fit outs – realized across Australia. Natasha’s career experience as a stylist with Belle magazine taught her the importance of balance and symmetry in interiors and of the art in mixing styles. One of Natasha’s inspiring locations is Paris, ‘ I love Paris for the symmetry, and the repetition of the buildings’. You’ll see many of Natasha’s creations on Field Notes.
Jodie is a Sydney based interior designer that has over 15 years experience working on interiors projects around the world including over 6 years working in London on international projects for Nina Campbell. Jodie now concentrates her time dealing with high end residential projects and commercial interiors for Coco Republic Interior Design Austrlia wide.
A graduate of the prestigious Design Centre Enmore, Sydney Institute TAFE, Emily was awarded Graduate of the Year and has since applied herself as an Interior Designer at Sydney’s Coco Republic Interior Design. Emily has a passion for discovering emerging design talent and believes personality and history are key in good design. An avid international traveler, Emily reports back from her inspiring design trips for Field Notes.
Victoria is an experienced and talented Interior Designer that has worked across a multitude of Interior companies, and fields, including furniture manufacturing, refurbishing hotels, styling properties for sale and furniture retail. More recently Vic has built up many years of experience as a noted interior designer in jobs around the world. Vic draws inspiration from her travels especially on a more recent trip to the Himalayas.
Natalia is a creative with a broad skill base ranging from graphic design to styling and interiors, previously working for Kelly Hoppen UK on high end residential projects internationally. Immigrating to Sydney, Australia in 2010, Natalia’s ‘London’ eye picks up international trends that are easy to interpret into Sydney's unique lifestyle. While cycling around on her yellow vintage bike she is inspired by all that beautiful Sydney has to offer and has recently patriotically decorated her Bondi Beach digs with a surfboard covered in the Union Jack!

Lily Cumberland is an Interior Designer and has been working in the Australian furniture industry for almost 5 years. Her interests and work experience spread across interiors, graphics, photography and styling. Also trained as a High School Art and Design Teacher, Lily’s greatest passion is interiors design, with life ambition being to own and renovate a Paddington Terrace. Her go-to pieces are statement chandeliers, lace and a touch of leopard print.
Fiona Goss is a teacher at Design Centre Enmore, Sydney Institute TAFE & the Coco Republic Design School.
Fiona Goss finished Interior Design studies at Sydney Institute of Technology, Enmore Design Centre in 2003. She was awarded 1st place in Textile Design for the Laminex Group ISP student design award in 2003. Prior to that Fiona was a Senior Design Lecturer at The Whitehouse Institute of Design for four years teaching in both Fashion & Interiors. Fiona has her own residential styling and design company called Echo 11. She has designed, styled & managed renovations of residential properties that have featured in Vogue Living, POL Oxygen Design Directory & Home Beautiful. Fiona is also a member of the DIA (Design Institute of Australia).
Tanya is an Interior Designer & Part Time Teacher with a passion for all things design & illustration.
Having completed a BA in Fashion & Textile Design, Tanya established her own successful fashion label & retail outlet in Paddington before venturing into the world of Interiors. Further study at Design Centre Enmore gained her an Advanced Diploma in Interior Design & she has since worked across a broad range of sectors including commercial, residential, institutional, hospitality & retail areas. Tanya manages her own design company ‘Tanya Dobble’ which focuses on sustainable interior design, is a professional member of the Design Institute of Australia.
Helen is Brand Manager at Signature Prints, one of Australia’s most famous design houses that brought the wonderful works of Florence Broadhurst back to life and into our homes. Originally a New Zealander Helen’s eye for design, and detail, is why we’re so happy to have her contributing to our blog.
Based in London, Rowena is an interior designer who has worked in Experimental Design across Europe, as well as running her own interior design practice LISTER+CO in Sydney. Her experience as a designer extends to brands across the hotel and hospitality, commercial, media and luxury sectors, including clients such as the Intercontinental Hotel Group, Jones Lang LaSalle, WTFN and Cartier. Rowena Lister’s style draws on a modern mix of eclectic and decorative elements. Rowena is now also a teacher at the Coco Republic Design School.
After graduating from the Design Centre Enmore’s Diploma of Interior Decoration, with Distinction and the TAFE NSW State Medal, Jen has been working as a stylist and event manager/producer on countless community, corporate, residential and retail design projects. Jen is currently a tutor at the Design Centre Enmore and the Coco Republic Design School. An avid collector of all things that ‘may come in handy’, her love is for beautifully handcrafted pieces, all things bold, and the ways a considered visual story can captivate and communicate its design intent.
Annamaria’s career spans more than 20 years in
architectural and interior design as a specialist in architectual colour. Annamaria has been a professional member of
the Design Institute of Australia and is the National President of The Colour Society of Australia. As a teacher at the Design Centre Enmore and Coco Republic Design School, Annamaria specializes in imparting confidence in the understanding of colour design for commercial. architectual and residential
Julien has over 15 years experience in the Interior Design industry on the French Riviera and in Paris as a buyer for his family business. In 2005 and 2006, Julien’s interior design schemes were published on the cover of Marie Claire Maison. Describing himself as a Decoration Facilitator more so than an Interior Designer, Julien’s objective is at the end of the project for his client is to have the feeling that they have done all the work and achieved a home that is true to their personality and lifestyle. Julien has been living in Sydney for two years and loves the eclecticism of Australian style. He spends all his free time discovering new interiors and architecture to better understand the aesthetic behind Australian design.
Jase Campbell has renovating, creativity and all things interiors running in his blood. As a working Design Consultant and student, he’s always thirsty for new inspiration. “At any one time I’ll have a range of projects scattered across my lounge, from art, photography through to furniture and a constant back log of ideas ready to go. My ideal afternoon is rearranging my entire home and re inventing it. A true perfectionist with an eclectic edge, Jase has a drive to balance organized clutter with the beauty of symmetry, scale and balance.

As a WA based, self-confessed interior junkie, Lisa indulges her addiction through her Facebook page FEATHERHORSE STUDIO where she blogs about interior design and art that inspires her.
